Concussion Information - Athletics
In accordance with the Concussion Management and Awareness Act, chapter 496 of the Law of 2011 the West Babylon School District has developed the attached Concussion Guidelines. This document:
- serves as the guiding instrument in the district's education, planning and preparedness for staff, students and parents or guardians
- outlines implementation of our protocol
- regulates follow up and return to activity/play protocol (WBRTP)
- provides a definition of concussions
- provides signs and symptoms of a concussion
- provides the district's emergency action plan and management relating to concussions
- provides other useful resources
