Dressed in red, white and blue and proudly waving their flags, Santapogue Elementary School held its first Flag Day celebration on June 13. Students and staff gathered outdoors to pay tribute and reflect on the country’s freedoms. Santapogue’s Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts helped to raise the flag before members of the chorus sang the national anthem. Student council members recited facts about the flag and reflected on the history and symbolism that represents freedom and unity.
